Happy Earth Day!!!!! 

If you haven’t heard yet, a new report by Lettuce Grow and The Farm Project JUST came out and boy, oh boy, is it in perfect time for Earth Day. Did you know that average APPLE could be as old as 10 months from when it was harvested, before it gets in your mouth (or hands at the store)?! Did you know that while the vast majority of consumers wants to believe signage from the grocey store that somewhing is “locally grown” it could be as far away as in a different time zone? WHAT?! 

This Earth Day, we hope you enjoy learning about how you and your family could become more sustainable for not only our children’s future, but their children’s children as well. We have one earth. Let’s treat her well.

Meet Mariah, the 15 year old primary care “parent” of their Lettuce Grow Farmstand, Liliana! Liliana only grows plants named Edward (no matter what it actually is) and Liliana is just a wee infant who’s already PRODUCING FOOD FOR HER FAMILY! Growing indoors in Texas, they’ve had their Farmstand for 2-3 weeks and are already enjoying the bounty.

This week, Jason Smith, CEO of Starburns Audio, and one of Stephanie’s dearest friends, passed away unexpectedly. This episode is a short and small tribute to the man he was not only in the industry, but to many people individually as well.

Introducing the one and only Robbie Balenger!!!! Robbie is Lettuce Grow’s very own plant-based performance athlete. Residing in Colorado, Robbie JUST set the world record for the number of times someone has run around New York’s Central Park, IN ONE DAY. Let’s just say, he ran more in 24 hours than Tara or Stephanie have run in a year. And, he’s done it all on the energy gained from PLANTS! We loved getting to know Robbie and getting an in depth look into his plant-based life!
